The technical origins of the STRYK pistol go back to the Strike One duty-pistol with polymer grip, introduced in 2012. We received requests to develop this unique technical platform into a more compact model soon after the market launch of its full-size version. The result is STRYK B, a systematically enhanced, compact and high-performance sport & carry pistol developed with a particular emphasis on technology, design and ergonomics.
The Arsenal Firearms Group (AF) has a long tradition in firearms engineering. The story of the young company started in 2005 with the largest reverse engineering project in the market of firearms: the true-to-scale production of miniature weapons. Today in "Miniature Arsenal" the company has a unique collection of historical and modern weapons of all types and sizes. Role models are highly fascinating firearms, such as the Thompson Machine Gun or the Colt 1911 pistol. The miniature weapons aroused great interest, especially among international collectors. But company founder Dmitri Strechinski planned to go a step further. Based on the existing technical experience, Arsenal Firearms developed the revolutionary locking system for semi-automatic pistols named AF-Speedlock®.
The AF-Speedlock® is a real technical innovation. It is a unique locking system for pistols which prevents the barrel from being tilted during the recurring operation of the gun: a fork-shaped locking block is pulled downwards in the shot by means of a control cam, thus releasing the carriage. The barrel is guided on a straight line only a few millimeters to the rear, thus remaining almost rigid. This kind of locking system allows a higher level of accuracy compared to standard pistols with a Browning system.
The AF-Speedlock® was launched by Arsenal Firearms in the market in 2012 with the semi-automatic polymer full-size pistol “Strike One”. Based on this model, own R&D know-how as well as on the registered patents for the AF-Speedlock®, Arsenal Firearms showcased the brand new STRYK B pistol for the first time at 2017’s SHOT Show with big success. This compact premium polymer pistol is a so-called striker fired gun, which is characterized by one of the lowest bore axis in the world of modern pistols. It is unique in its recoil-reducing mechanical design - with better accuracy than conventional pistols - both characteristics are relevant for professional sport shooters.
